Dental Insurance

Dental insurance plans provide moderate coverage for dental costs. Several companies offer this type of individual and group “add on” plan. Plans charge a monthly premium for reduced cost dental procedures ranging from cleanings, fillings, x-rays, and in some cases dentures and root canals. There is usually a maximum annual amount allowable on the program. A benefit to these plans is portability. You can purchase them separate from your current health insurance at any age and continued regardless of employment. Most plans stipulate either a maximum out-of-pocket or percentage off towards given procedures. Many companies have participating provider programs as well.
